It’s the first day of spring
In the sun the snow is melting
As we ride down that long lonesome road
By the blue waterfall in the river on the mountain

Where the wolves will be howlin’ in the woodland
And the hoot owls are hootin on the wind
And the whipoorwill’s song will be cryin’ on forever

Where the fish will be jumpin’ in the river
And the stars will be shinin’ up above
And we’ll sing cowboy songs. as we sit around the campfire
