Jimmys Room

Once upon a time
Somewhere in my mind
I knew of a place called Jimmys room

Where often I would go
Walking through the snow
Just to spend some time in Jimmys room

There in the shadows we would talk about it all
With Abraham Zapruder standing on the grassy knol
Sadly on that day we lost JFK
But hope is still alive in Jimmys room

Whenever things were tough
If things were goin’ rough
I could just go down to Jimmys room
And if things weren’t so bad
If I weren’t feelin’ sad
I could go have fun in Jimmys room
There where the candle light would flicker on the wall
We’d play our music to the laughter down the hall

Sometimes we would fight
long into the night
But there was always love in Jimmys room

Things were different then
But Jimmys still my friend
And I can still go down to Jimmys room

The party’s in the past
The livin way too fast
Not so long ago in Jimmys room

Bangin our heads ya like kids we’d carry on
Man we were lucky that our hearts were made that strong

And so when we die
In that afterlife
I hope theres a place like Jimmys room
